On 24 October 2026 the MIM team updated the official links and the description of MAGIC•INTERNET•MONEY on CoinGecko and CoinMarketCap. This page, on the project’s own domain, is the announcement.
Every official link and public proof is listed at mimwizards.com/proofs.
MAGIC•INTERNET•MONEY (MIM) is the memecoin of the Bitcoin Wizard, widely known as the first Bitcoin meme: an MS Paint drawing that Reddit user Mavensbot made in 2013 for an r/Bitcoin advertising campaign, which gave Bitcoin its lasting nickname, “Magic Internet Money”. A decade later, the same artist brought it on chain: the drawing became inscription #70, Mavensbot deployed the BRC-20 token $WZRD in 2023, then etched MIM as Rune #17 (ID 840000:45) in block 840,000, the 2024 halving block, with its full supply of 21 billion.
From 18 February 2025, $WZRD and Bitcoin Wizard holders migrated to MIM, and on 15 April 2025 the unclaimed supply was sent to the Bitcoin genesis address.
MIM trades on Kraken and on decentralized exchanges on Bitcoin and Solana, where a bridged version exists. The Bitcoin Wizards Ordinals collection, the children of inscription #70, is part of the same project.
